Recently, I got to have my first experience attending a debate camp and I enjoyed it a lot. During camp, the trainer kept lessons engaging and meaningful by incorporating multiple activities during lectures on techniques we can employ during debates. All in all, I'm grateful that I walked out with new skills that I can use in every debate.
Apex Thought has transformed the way I not only speak, but think too. It has boosted my general knowledge and my confidence to speak up. I look forward to every training and treat it as an opportunity to grow and prepare myself for the skills essential for my future, like critical thinking. Most importantly, I am no longer afraid to argue a topic and stand my ground to defend a side.
Joining Apex Thoughts has been one of the most memorable experiences for me. Despite only having spent a couple months here, I've learned so much; not only of debate, but of passion, of teamwork, and of experience. In the midst of gaining new skills and pursuing an exciting extracurricular, entering competitions and being part of the competitive and collaborative thrill, you make connections that will empower you for a lifetime.
Apex is a wonderful debate academy and I have learned so much in just a few classes. I have gained important skills such as structuring my speech, thinking critically, and speaking more confidently. I was extremely shy and scared to speak in front of people. Apex helped me step out of my comfort zone, not with force, but with patience and kindness. Each class is full of new things to explore, and I always learn them with genuine interest.
